The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly Data Teams
Jesse Anderson
Chapter Chapter 2 in Data Teams, 2020, pp 19-25 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This quote from Gartner shows why, in the previous chapter, I focused so much on success or failure. The vast majority of big data projects either fail outright or underperform. The quote echoes my own experience in dealing with teams and projects. I’m really tired of seeing so many projects fail. At some point, organizations will just stop investing in their big data initiatives and groups because there is no payoff.
