Chapter Chapter 18 in Adopting Agile Across Borders, 2021, pp 335-362 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The Industrial Revolution had a tremendous impact on the world. One invention led to another. Capitalism and Frederick Taylor’s scientific management theory emerged to organize our financial, labor, and production techniques. These techniques have become embedded into our cultures over the last couple of centuries. Times are changing though, and a new revolution is taking place. We are now in the information age and the old tools that worked so well since the Industrial Revolution are no longer fit for purpose. Agile may be just one of the techniques to help lead us in the new world.
