Organizational Culture: Friend or Foe?
Ebenezer C. Ikonne
Chapter Chapter 4 in Becoming a Leader in Product Development, 2021, pp 65-93 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract “Our culture is terrible!” said the team members speaking to me. I had recently been hired to lead a software engineering team at a small company and was meeting with team members to learn more about them and the organization. I asked them to share what they thought about the software development organization—its strengths and weaknesses. Unfortunately, all I heard were complaints. This was not the first (and I doubt it will be the last) time in my career that people would complain about the culture of their team, department, or even company.
