Abstract Pia Heidenmark Cook was the chief sustainability officer at the Ingka Group, the largest IKEA retailer through July 2021. She led IKEA’s strategy to become people- and planet-positive by 2030 and was inspired by the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to create a better everyday life for many people. IKEA is a global home furnishing brand with 456 stores in 61 countries and approximately 40 billion euros in revenue in 2020.
