What the Hell Is a 20th-Century Job Anyway?

Anthony Onesto

Chapter Chapter 4 in The New Employee Contract, 2022, pp 35-46 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Let’s get even more specific and separate 20th-century jobs from 21st-century jobs. For the latter, we are advocating for the creation of more of them to suit Gen Z’s needs. If the trends we’ve discussed in this chapter continue, 21st-century jobs are less likely to be impacted than their predecessor, the 20th-century job. But what’s a 20th-century job? Let’s start there.
