Groundbreaking Digital Innovations

Chapter Chapter 6 in Demystifying Digital Transformation, 2024, pp 211-258 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract We have defined digital transformation through various classic case studies, studied innovation cycles, dived into the role of data, looked at a business outcomes approach to successful digital transformation as well as some practical digital tools to enable use to work more effectively in the digital age. We also did a review of some of the data mining and machine learning techniques that are used currently. What are the huge digital innovations that made digital transformation have such a profound effect and make non-technical business owners feel so out of step? As consumers, we probably take most of these innovations for granted without realizing how they have permeated into our day-to-day.
