Chapter Chapter 1 in Salesforce Field Service, 2023, pp 1-21 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In its most basic form, a field service is any service provided outside the organization’s boundaries. In field service, resources are dispatched at the site to perform one-time or recurring tasks such as delivery, inspections, repairs, installation, maintenance, etc. The use cases of a field service could span anything from fixing a laundry machine at home to performing annual maintenance service of your car to repairing medical equipment at a hospital.
