Chapter Chapter 1 in Getting Started with Enterprise Architecture, 2023, pp 1-3 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Despite the good intentions of frameworks such as the TOGAF Standard [1], there still are a lot of organizations that have not yet been able to translate a framework into something that is usable. If an organization could easily use the tools provided by a framework, working with architecture would be more likely to get the attention it needs. An organization would be able to greatly benefit from the structure and coherence that a framework has to offer. In spite of the fact that the theory described in the frameworks has evolved and matured over the years, organizations have not yet found a way to put it to good use.
