Abstract: Abstract If you were to ask me to state the overriding theme of Part 2, I would answer in one phrase ‘the valid handling of complexity’. Much of the material hitherto has concerned the rationale whereby you can support the statements you wish to make with evidence to justify them, working in a complex management environment, in which there are varying expectations of your role. The theme of Part 3 concerns how best to put this rationale to work, so that you can establish and support the assertions you wish to make.
