Abstract:
Abstract For the first time in book form, the full logic of dimensional analysis is listed in its eighteen stages. Each stage is developed successively. This progression starts from the two-part definition of scientific concepts, proceeds through such as linear scales of measurement, the complete equation, meaningful addition and equality, the general and rigorous criterion for the inclusion of universal constants as units-conversion factors, to the final stage of the pi-theorem. Seven non-dimensional combinations of units-conversion factors, such as the fine structure constant, are illustrated.
