Chapter Chapter 7 in Operator Relations Characterizing Derivatives, 2018, pp 113-139 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In the previous chapters we investigated the solutions and the stability properties of the Leibniz and the chain rule operator equations. These equations formalized properties of the first derivative of a function. In this and the next chapter we study equations which are motivated by identities for the second derivative. One of our goals is to find simple properties which characterize the Laplacian.
