Chapter Chapter 14 in Modeling and Simulation with Compose and Activate, 2018, pp 387-413 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract An extension to Activate that makes physical component-level modeling possible is presented in this chapter. Regular Activate is not always suited for physical component-level modeling. For example, when modeling an electrical circuit, it is not possible to construct an Activate model with a one-to-one correspondence between the electrical components (resistor, diode, capacitor,...) and the regular blocks in the Activate model. In fact, the Activate model does not in general look like the original electrical circuit.
