Chapter 2 in Responsible Organizations in the Global Context, 2019, pp 21-38 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This reflection chapter will analyze from a normative ethics perspective (i.e., what ought to be) the view that employees are stakeholders in firms and should be treated fairly and equitably in terms of human resource/human capital business practices and policies. A number of major issues will be discussed in this arena: the nature of due process for nonunionized employees, procedural justice, employee voice systems, and ethics and employee rights in the employment relationship. This chapter will conclude with policy recommendations for executives, managers, and human resource directors. Furthermore, recommendations for future research will be delineated for scholars.
