Chapter Chapter 11 in Reverberations of a Stroke, 2019, pp 45-47 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract I had not been up to hike in the Colorado high country since my stroke. As a lifelong mountaineer, my spirit is always lifted by heading up high and breaking through timberline into a wonderland of blue lakes, bordered by windswept ridges and soaring peaks. There is something about traversing wild mountain terrain that brings a religious feeling to me. I feel free, and closer to God. I have always taken to heart the inspirational words of John Muir: “Climb the mountains and get their good tidings”.
