Chapter Chapter 8 in Contemporary Operations and Logistics, 2019, pp 119-136 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In dynamic models, in contrast to static models, change is the most important topic. Variables are seen not as static, but changing over time. This chapter introduces the application of the technique of dynamical modelling approach in operations management, with highlights in the issues of demand management, forecasting, and production control. These issues, typically lying in the core of operations management, are shown to be promising for the application of dynamical modelling.
