Abstract:
Abstract Introduction It is necessary to reorganize a Clinical Risk Management system according to priorities based on international scientific literature and national legislation. Objectives Building a Clinical Risk Management system for patient safety, according to priorities based on: claims for damages sentinel events adverse events complaints Methods A qualitative and quantitative analysis of claims for damages, sentinel events, adverse events and complaints was made. The results have been compared with the Italian normative references and those of international scientific literature. An economic analysis was conducted to evaluate the impact of clinical errors in the budget. Results and Conclusions Main areas for prior actions and implementation of corrective measures for patient safety were identified.
