Abstract:
Abstract The introduction summarizes why corporate governance is becoming increasingly relevant to fully integrate sustainability within firms, starting from a brief overview of recent academic debate on this topic. Afterwards, the chapter presents the main changes that recently affected the legal and regulatory framework of corporate governance and sustainability in Europe, focusing on Italy and the UK. The chapter provides an overview on the aims and the structure of the research project. The summary of the contents of the chapter will follow.
