Abstract A community structure is an important non-trivial topological feature of a complex networks. Indeed community structures are a typical feature of social networks, tightly connected groups of nodes in the World Wide Web usually correspond to pages on common topics, communities in cellular and genetic networks are related to functional modules [46].
