Abstract: Abstract In the introduction to Historians on Leadership and Strategy: Case Studies from Antiquity to Modernity, the editor argues that a historical perspective can enrich contemporary debates on leadership. The human past provides a deep and largely untapped reservoir of data and case studies for analysis from the perspective of leadership. Additionally, the use of history methodologies can lead to different answers to contemporary leadership studies questions.
