Abstract:
Abstract presents the research networks of the 1970s and 1980s, the author summarizes as European dependency school (EDS), and how they perceived uneven development and core-periphery relations in Europe. A focus lies upon the struggles between states and regions within transnational capitalism which consists of conflicts between classes and spaces. The chapter offers an EDS typology of European core-periphery relations, including the special case Italy.
