Abstract:
Abstract This chapter introduces probabilistic modeling and reviews foundational concepts in Bayesian econometrics such as Bayesian inference, model selection, online learning, and Bayesian model averaging. We then develop more versatile representations of complex data with probabilistic graphical models such as mixture models.
