Abstract:
Abstract The research issue in the article concerns the axiological background, which refers to the criteria for assessing the Respect Index companies. It proposes to extend the “axiological-linguistic world” of companies that are assessed in terms of social responsibility, of the discourse and the values that relational ethics offers. As a philosophical context, the concept of independent ethics and the reliable guardian of Polish philosopher, Tadeusz Kotarbiński, was referee. It formulated a proposal for a new assessment criterion for companies that are assessed in terms of social responsibility (Respect Index companies). Criterion has an axiological background in relational ethicsrelational ethics. The humanistic interpretation was applied.
