Chapter Chapter 9 in FinTech Regulation, 2020, pp 493-498 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Concluding remarks summarize the contents of the book, taking into account both the impact of fintech on the key economic drivers of market-based financing and the opportunity that the regulation of such phenomenon will improve the social welfare. In this respect, the analysis of the regulation shows changes in the structure and the dynamics of the market for capital, whose effects project the financial operators towards new paradigms for the provision of financial services and banking. Focusing on fintech, the analysis on the regulation of cryptography, distributed ledger technology and big data has been summarized as the core element of a public intervention aimed at safeguarding the rights of individuals, the levels of competition and the stability of the financial industry.
