Chapter 16 in Management and Leadership Skills for Medical Faculty and Healthcare Executives, 2020, pp 157-162 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract There is a common misnomer that “leadership presence” refers to a person’s charisma, public speaking acumen, or overall gravitas. Rather, it entails the quality of focus, attention, curiosity and awareness the leader gives to others; how present the leader is in the moment and the impact that presence has on others and on moving the organization forward. This chapter will provide insights, tips and strategies to becoming a more present, more interpersonally connected leader—one who engages with genuine interest and impact on people, morale, culture, and organizational success.
