Chapter 6 in Management and Leadership Skills for Medical Faculty and Healthcare Executives, 2020, pp 51-58 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Mindfulness has been shown to help promote patient-centered attitudes and build community among clinicians. Here, we propose a number of practical strategies that can be deployed by those working in healthcare as they seek to embody more mindful leadership. We discuss a range of skills, from deep listening to emotional self-awareness, and how they can be developed and enhanced by specific mindfulness practices.
