Chapter Chapter 3 in Extrapolation and Rational Approximation, 2020, pp 49-77 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The aim of this chapter is to give a picture of the knowledge already acquired around the middle of the twentieth century in the areas that interest us. Some of these domains had been explored for quite a long time, while some others were only recently opened, and other ones yet to be discovered. Before visiting each domain in particular (extrapolation methods, formal orthogonal polynomials, Padé approximants, continued fractions), we begin with a general presentation.
