Abstract:
Abstract Peter Wynn Wynn, Peter, (1931–2017) was born on 1 September 1931 in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire, England, 22 miles (35 km) north of London. In Brezinski and Redivo-Zaglia (Numer Algorithms 80:11–133, 2019), we wrote that he was born in Hertford, 7 km from Hoddesdon, on the basis of official documents found on the internet, but we recently had access to a curriculum vitæ typewritten by Wynn himself in which he mentioned his birthplace. The confusion is perhaps due to the fact that the birth was registered in Hoddesdon, where his father was still living in 1970, 54 Walton Street. His parents were John Wynn and Mabel G. North. They were married around April–June 1930 in Edmonton, an area of the London Borough of Enfield, 8.6 miles (13.8 km) north–east of Charing Cross.
