Abstract: Abstract In this chapter, we propose a natural definition of nonequilibrium temperature and chemical potential. The main field, with which the generalized Gibbs equation is expressed in a differential form, is the key quantity in the definition. In the ET6 theory, in particular, the nonequilibrium temperature and chemical potential coincide exactly with those in the Meixner theory explained in Chap. 12 .
