Abstract: Abstract The chapter highlights the main issues of increase in the international engagement of the EAEU, considering the existing prerequisites and opportunities for not only deepening cooperation of the “integration core” within the EAEU, but also expanding the network of foreign economic relations that have recently become more and more relevant in integration agenda. The model of Eurasian integration follows a course where a number of approaches peculiar to “old / closed regionalism” are combined with the concept of “new/open regionalism”, implying elements of multi-level and multi-speed integration, as well as wide opportunities to enhance cooperation with third countries and associations. Based on official information of the negotiation tracks status, we can observe the rather extensive geography of the actual and potential interaction of the EAEU in the Asian, European, and Middle East directions. Special emphasis in the chapter is paid on the EAEU-Vietnam FTA signed in 2015, negotiations with the Republic of Serbia on the subject of trade regime unification launched in 2016, and the creation of a free trade zone that finally led to the FTA agreement signing in October 2019. It is also important to highlight the role of intensive cooperation of EAEU countries with China in the framework of trade and economic cooperation agreement signed in 2018, and the Chinese concept of the Silk Road Economic Belt.
