Abstract: Abstract Innovation in statistics and data science requires the equitable elevation of diverse perspectives. In this chapter, I explore the mechanisms by which the tightly woven interplay between power and privilege serves as an impediment to and catalyst for progressively reshaping the opportunity structure for leadership in our field.
