A chapter in Leadership in Statistics and Data Science, 2021, pp 309-318 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Narrative is a necessary and powerful leadership tool for those working to advance equity and inclusion in our profession. While statisticians will always have an affinity and reliance on data, I submit that “Data or Narrative” is a false choice. The two can and must be employed together throughout the transformation process.
