The School of Life
Hermann Simon
Chapter 15 in Many Worlds, One Life, 2021, pp 279-298 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Life is a never-ending school and an invaluable teacher. It has taught me some simple lessons, which include: Don’t worry about tomorrow. Stay grounded despite your success. Practice polarized leadership. Ration your time. Avoid lawyers. Don’t be overly sensitive. Don’t burn bridges. You find other lessons of life in the chapter, for instance: never leave home without money. And remember: It is not enough to know, one must apply; it is not enough to want, one must do.
