Chapter Chapter 1 in Modern Classics in Entrepreneurship Studies, 2022, pp 1-13 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The history of entrepreneurshiphistory of entrepreneurship is as old as human civilization (Gartner and Carter,.Handbook of entrepreneurship research, Springer, 2003; Herbert and Link,.The entrepreneur, Preager, 1982). There is likely no civilization that flourished without entrepreneurs, enterprising men and women, who created new products or services, or at the very least bought at a low price to sell at a higher price in a different time or place. Indeed, entrepreneurship has been central to the functioning of human society.
