The New Space Merchants
Jack Gregg ()
Chapter 14 in The Cosmos Economy, 2021, pp 127-130 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract James Causey, Executive Director of SpaceCom, famously stated that, “Every company is a space company, some just don’t know it yet!” (November 20, 2019). This of course implies that every customer of every company is (or soon will be) a de facto space customer. That’s all of us! While this is yet to take hold in the general business mindset it is well worth considering. If the tide turns to space-based manufacturing production, mining, agricultural production, pharmaceuticals, space tourism, and a thousand other endeavors, then all of us in the capitalist value chain are now (or soon will be) contributors to and consumers of the new space economy.
