Chapter 15 in The Cosmos Economy, 2021, pp 133-134 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract On the morning of October 27, 2019, Sir Richard Branson took his pet project, Virgin Galactic (VG), to Wall Street and put the new space economy squarely on the map. Prof. Matthew Weinzierl of Harvard’s B-School commented, “the IPO signals that the [space] sector intends to be more than a niche play … the Virgin Galactic IPO will be seen as proof that the sector is ready for the public markets.” Virgin Galactic was listed as SPCE on Dow Jones.
