Abstract:
Abstract Baitul Maal wat Tamwil (BMT) as a unique type of IMFI has also applied pooling of funds and liability driven, so that BMT has always structural problems of mismatch and liquidity, as well as lack of funding sources, since the member-customers of BMT are mostly poor people and micro-enterprises (MEs). Moreover, most BMTs have not been optimized the utilization of Islamic social finance instruments, so that the BMT has struggled to achieve its triple bottom-line and its ultimate objective to support the achievement of equitable distribution of income and wealth in micro-small level of its community. This study aims to show that the implementation of various Integrated Islamic Commercial and Social finance in the IMFI, especially BMT, would not only help to be able to support the achievement of sustainable growth and equitable distribution of income and wealth, but also would strengthen the IMFI/BMT sustainability. Moreover, the optimal application of integrated Islamic commercial and social finance in BMT would enable BMT to support achieving the sustainable development goals (SDGs) in the community.
