Summary of Engineering Equations in This Book

John Heim

Chapter Chapter 28 in Why Fiscal Stimulus Programs Fail, Volume 1, 2021, pp 549-562 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter lists which equations tested in this book were the most successfully replicated and hence more like engineering equations than simple cursory results one model tested in one time period. These are summarized to give policy makers the best and most reliable (i.e., most replicable) estimates available for determining the likely policy effects of deficit—financed fiscal stimulus programs, the effects of crowd out on those programs, and the extent to which increases in loanable funds can eliminate the crowd out problems associated with deficit-financed fiscal stimulus programs.
