Abstract: Abstract What is organizational behavior, and why should sport managers study it? This chapter introduces the foundations of organizational behavior as it relates to organizational success in the sports industry. Concepts discussed include positive organizational behavior, institutional theory, and resource dependency. The topics introduced in this chapter will receive substantial discussion throughout the remaining chapters of this book.
