Chapter 14 in Organizational Behavior in Sport Management, 2021, pp 149-164 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Many people do not like working in teams. This is understandable. For high-performing employees, teamwork provides opportunities for others to earn credit for their work. For other employees, teamwork can feel like a burden that gets in the way of their other responsibilities. While these concerns can most certainly be true, work teams also allow organizations to take on projects that are too big for one person to handle. This chapter examines workgroups and teams, including best practices for team development and team success.
