Chapter Chapter 21 in Handbook Integrated Care, 2021, pp 341-364 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Differences in financing sources and mechanisms, and in the allocation and flows of financial resources can pose a critical challenge for efforts to better coordinate and integrate across functions, professions and sectors. This chapter provides an overview of ways in which countries have sought to overcome these challenges. While numerous innovative approaches have been implemented, the evidence of what works best in what contexts, and their impacts on outcomes remain elusive.
