Chapter Chapter 6 in German Family Enterprises, 2021, pp 109-128 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter focuses on the development needs of the second generation to become a business from a practical/action orientated perspective. The aim is to reveal some practical implications that are intended to guide family entrepreneurs in the second, third, or subsequent generations, their family members, and employed managers as a guide to a strategy geared toward longevity. The demanding challenge in the long-term strategy of family-owned business is shaping the growth development. There is not a simple key success factor enabling a family and its company to pursue a growth path. It requires a special mind-set and a fit in four major dimensions.
