Complexity and the Future of Economics
J. Barkley Rosser
Chapter Chapter 7 in Foundations and Applications of Complexity Economics, 2021, pp 117-132 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The neoclassical era in economics has ended. Based on the views presented in this book, I think an argument can be made that it has been replaced by the the complexity era. This new era has not arrived through a revolution. Instead, it has evolved out of the many strains of neoclassical work, along with work done by less orthodox mainstream and heterodox economists. It is the wave of the future.
