Chapter Chapter 8 in Trading and Price Discovery for Crude Oils, 2021, pp 103-121 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The Third World against the neo-colonialism. The producing states to dispose of their natural resources in accordance with their national interests. Posted prices are just tax reference. Revolution, participation, and nationalisation. Markets creep in. OPEC sets prices but how to make them stick? Consuming country policies are making things worse. Takeover. Peak Oil again! Iranian revolution and production rationing make an explosive mix. Companies forced into spot markets and they grow.
