Abstract In this chapter, we are going to jump between San Francisco, The Gambia and the UK to learn from Riders for Health’sRiders for Health journey to a debt guaranteeguarantee/guaranteed/guarantees. In the last chapter, we looked at innovative ways grantgrant(s) funders can think about using grant capitalgrant(s)grant capital strategically, and back in Chapter 4 , we discussed the importance of collateralcollateral and how to use customer orderscustomer orders and invoicesinvoices as collateralcollateral to access debt financingdebtdebt financing. In this case, Andrea and Barry Coleman from Riders for HealthRiders for Health use a debt guaranteeguarantee/guaranteed/guarantees from a foundation to access debt and reduce their cost of capitalcost of capital.
