Chapter Chapter 6 in Industry 4.0, 2021, pp 55-68 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The urgency of the fight against climate change at the moment is undeniable. Our civilization inflicts irreparable damage to nature through its economic activities, industry, and transport. For many years, the development of national economies was carried out at the expense of the environment. Thus, economic growth in China and India has caused an unprecedented surge in carbon dioxide emissions. Solving environmental problems is of paramount importance for the global community, as evidenced by the fact that six of the seventeen sustainable development goals (SDGs) included in the 2030 Agenda for SDG are directly related to the environment. SDG 13 directly addresses climate change. The author of this article aims to identify the links between achieving this goal and the rest of the sustainable development goals, as well as build an econometric model for achieving SDG 13 and explain what measures should be taken by the governments of countries to achieve it.
