Abstract:
Abstract IThe chapter discusses the connections between the Nash bargaining solution on the one hand, and utilitarianism and egalitarianism on the other. In particular, it is shown how the Nash solution oers a compromise between the two opposing schools of thought, and how it overcomes diculties from which utilitarianism and egalitarianism user.
