Abstract:
Abstract For over 15 years, Zühlke has been helping companies to adapt emerging technologies in the field of the Internet of things (IoT) in order to carve out competitive advantages from smart connected solutions. During this time, thousands of initiatives have been launched globally to generate strategic gains from connecting remote sensors, devices, machines, and even the entire plants through the Internet. This is especially true in the industrial environment, where companies have been manufacturing and selling physical assets into business-to-business markets through direct or indirect sales channels. Within the underlying article numerous valuable insights and learnings from Zühlke’s practical experience within the connected business domain are compiled. For any practician seeking to successfully implement, develop, or extend connected business initiatives, success factors and clear do’s and dont’s are elaborated upon within the following article.
