Abstract: Abstract This chapter provides a compact guided tour through a careful selection of facts and figures of international trade. We highlight the developments, trends, and tendencies which appear critical for creating narratives that are spread within the public domain. We also present a brief description of the FTAs referenced in our empirical material presented in Chaps. 5 , 6 , and 7 .
