Chapter Chapter 4 in Oil and Gas in Trinidad and Tobago, 2021, pp 75-85 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter highlights the trends in the production and utilization of natural gas in T&T. It also outlines the importance of LNG production on the production of natural gas. Natural gas has grown in importance of the T&T economy in the last 25 years and after 1999 the proportion of the production that is utilized after 1999 is in excess of 90%. With the passage of time this same natural gas which was once flared or reinjected to help extract crude oil, became increasingly important and by 2020 accounted for 92.1% of the total production of oil and gas, in barrels of oil equivalent.
