Chapter Chapter 6 in State Corporate Control in Transition, 2021, pp 203-244 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The chapter analyzes the key factors that may have influenced the course and outcomes of Polish state corporate control policy, its specific combination of the elements of continuity and change. These factors are discussed in the framework of two not fully separable dichotomies. The first one is action of decision makers in good faith (i.e., in the general public interest) vs. realization of specific group interests. The second one is the role of exogenous factors (knowledge transfer and impact of global economic and political processes) vs. the role of endogenous factors (domestic economic challenges, intellectual potential, institutional setup and public attitude).
